Praia Grande western Algarve

Praia Grande western Algarve sits in the estuary of the Arade river, next to Ferragudo.

With the sand protected by cliffs that insinuate on the sea, before the serene look of the castle S. João do Arade this beach of the western Algarve, naturally divides into two different beaches.

Boats, embarkations and water sports of all sorts may be found here as well as a play park for children just below the restaurante, where you can easily control the kids while having a drink or meal.

There is also-
Yoga paddle, Water bikes, Water Fun castle for children as well as in summer you can play beach volley ball and do some canoeing.
On the beach you may treat yourself to early morning yoga classes or ^Thai massages during the summer months.

If you turn to your right, heading for the castle of S. João, naturally separated by a cliff that seems destined for this purpose, you will find a normally less populated sand area that work´s as a natural lounge, where you can relax and enjoy all the natural pleasure that this beach has to offer.

At night the, enjoy your evenings on the beach with Live music, by a DJ.
There are 4 restaurants on this beach, the Club Nau, A Dtuch speaking restaurant, a Traditional Portuguese restaurant and an English speaking Beach bar restaurant.

Car Park right next to Praia Grande and another next to the Agrinha Beach (250m from Praia Grande); Restaurant with affordable prices and where everyone speaks English, toilets and showers as well as a Lifeguard during summer time.
